Historical Contracts
The following comprises a brief description some of past contract and projects that would be specific to your current project: and needs as I understand the project today.
- 1982 - Nova Scotia special events promotion "Old Home Summer". Capitalizing on this theme my role was project manager for a sales and marketing relationship between a Regional carrier , the Province of Nova Scotia along with National and provincial product providers. This marked the first time that a inbound FIT product was teamed up with promotional airfares to promote Nova Scotia in the Ontario Market.
- 1983 - Initiated and co-ordinated a co-op between the province of Nova Scotia / Wardair / and Conquest Vacations for the purpose of selling and promoting vacation packages from the Western and Ontario markets. This opportunity came about as a result of a downturn in the European market due to security reasons. Aircraft were now sitting idle and needed to be re-deployed. This was the first consumer Charter product offered to Nova Scotia with commissionable packaged holidays. The program resulted in using a 747 with a capacity of 345 seats twice a week . This also resulted in Air Canada and Canadian Airlines lowering their airfares for the summer season.
- My follow up role was to contract commissionable product and sales training in co-operation with the partners, building extensive FIT commissionable product.
- 1984 - Your Way Holidays - Created Atlantic Canada's first in bound tour company to build and coordinate FIT holidays for the North American and European markets. Prior to this most companies were focused on the motor coach ,groups and speciality markets.
- 1984 - Prince Edward Island-Negotiated a partnership for charter flights from Toronto into Prince Edward Island with Nordair. My role was project manager for a sales and marketing relationship between Nordair, the Province of PEI along with National and provincial product providers.
- 1985 - Newfoundland special events promotion "Heritage 85". Capitalizing on this theme my role was project manager for a sales and marketing relationship between a regional carrier , the Province of Newfoundland along with National and provincial product providers
- 1988 - Nova Scotia Honeymoon special package program. Produced a co-op between Sears Travel/Air Canada and the province of Nova Scotia to focus on a growth market of Honeymoon packages. This program evolved into a program including Atlantic Canada.
- 1992 - Developed a co-op between the four Atlantic Province and Air Canada/Air Nova/ Via Rail/and Marine Atlantic to produce and promote vacation experiences in Atlantic Canada from the North American Markets and Europe.
- Note: material is available to view to support these projects.
